Isar is a European style pilsner, lightly dry hopped with Saaz (noble hop alert!). The hops here are subtle so as to not overwhelm the yeast profile and both elements bring to the forefront all the wonderful (very drinkable) characteristics traditionally associated with old world pilsners. The bitterness is intentionally firm, the aromatics are herbal and floral — top it all off with a dry finish and you have yourself a clean, über-refreshing, crisp can of beer.

Poured a 473ml can into a pilsner glass. A big three finger fluffy white head on a very slightly hazy straw. Excellent head retention. It sticks around to the end. Sheets of fluffy lacing.
Malts and noble hop smells. grainy. Tastes of malts up front with some grain and citrus following. A clean, moderately bitter hop finish.
Medium body and carbonation. Overall a fine German Pilsner. Clean and well crafted. True to the style and well worth a try.

Shining gold body, clear with a very slight haze; covered with an airy, angel white head, several minutes retention.
Aroma is clean, mild spruce hops, somewhat metallic, hints of orange zest.
Taste is again, clean and pure, with minerality, and confident, palate cleansing hop bitterness - nearly void of pithiness. Subtle sweetness and cereal flavour from the malts, but this is all about the hops. Wins with its simplicity, relying on quality hop & malt flavours, not trying to do too much. Feel doesn't get better I think - medium carbonation, medium body, crisp & refreshing, with a dry finish.
Solid example of the style, this could be my summer crusher in a heartbeat. Simple, and I can't say it enough, clean. Perfect mouthfeel.

good NA pilsner. Hops are traditional, yet unique taste. On tap at the source.
