Notes:
Our newest series celebrates the deliciousness of a bold, chewy stout that’s more than a little bit extra. Black Liquids are rich and chocolatey, with a toasty malt backbone and a generous dose of dessert-esque adjuncts. It’s essentially the beer version of saying “yes” to whipped cream on that hot chocolate.
Rich and velvety body with bold notes of dark chocolate and caramelized malts. The addition of chocolate and (200,000 if we trust John’s math) peanuts makes for a final beer that tastes decidedly like a peanut butter cookie -- chewy, slightly salty, with subtle hints of sweetness.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like salty peanuts, chocolate malt, fudge, and heavy roast.
This goes less for peanut butter flavor and more actual peanut flavor, giving a salty sweet nuttiness to the base beer, which goes hard in the paint on roast character. There's a touch of chocolatey sweetness, but it's mostly savory and roasty.
This is medium bodied, pretty creamy, with a decent level of drinkability.
This is mostly successful, though I would have wanted a bit more chocolatey flavors to counteract the other flavors.

Got in a BIF from Coronaeus. 500 ml bottle into snifter, bottled in 12/2018. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger dense and flufy dark brown bread with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, brownie batter, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, date, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/black/roast/bready malts, peanut butter, chocolate, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, brownie batter, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, date, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, grassy, peppery hops; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, brownie batter, toasted biscuit, dark bread/crust, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, peanut butter, chocolate, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, fairly sticky/chalky, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 10.5%. Overall this is an amazing flavored imperial dessert stout. All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, peanut butter, chocolate, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to dip on for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Nicely soft feel. Amazing balance of huge rich malts, chocolate, and peanut butter flavors; with nice earthy hop presence/balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering bitter dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on dessert style example.

Look is midnight black oil. Very sparse one finger (if that) head, break is quick and all you are left with is a glass of motor oil.
Smell is peanuts and earthy. Like I mean, grab a handful of peanuts, and sniff it. Fantastic.
Taste to me is peanut led, and then a huge burst of fudge along with the base stout aspects. I get roasts and molasses.
Feel is amazing, heavy and slick. Weighs you down with flavor. Lower carbonation and a finish that makes you feel like you are at the ballpark shucking peanuts.
This may be the most impressive beer I have had from Bellwoods. I enjoyed the feck out of it. Glad I bought two more. Grab this if you can...unless you are allergic to nuts.

Wow. Peanut, peanut, peanut. Mouthfeel is thick and very slick. Taste is awesome. It tastes exactly like it’s supposed to...imperial stout with peanuts. Amazing. No artificial taste.
