This one pours a slightly murky dark brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like red wine, cherries, brown bread, and caramel.
This is a well done take on the style. I'd want a bit more malt complexity, but the level of sourness is just about perfect for me. There's a touch of fruit and wine, and mild acidity, along with a subtle breadiness and sweetness on the back end. As it warms, a funky and odd twang appears, but it's a welcome complexity.
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, with a great drinkability to it.
This is a forgotten style for most breweries on this side of the world. Bellwoods is very good at having a very diverse range of beer styles in their portfolio.

I know that this is done well. It's just not my style. Nothing lambic, sour or tart is my style. And this one is tart.
Once again though, the craftsmanship is undeniable. Made in collaboration with Microbrasserie a la Fut, we have a beautiful looking beer here. Pours dark brown with a gorgeous, retaining head - it invites you to sniff.
And then it all goes awry for me.
You can call the nose dank, I call it stinky. You can call it tart, I call it yucky. The cherry is strong in this one (I don't like cherry in any style of beer) and each sip gives me the shivers. And not in an exciting, good way.
Very acidic, this will end up as drain pour.
