Can from brewery.

Lime and watermelon on the nose, but the watermelon has a slight synthetic note to it that I’ve always noticed when the fruit is used in beer. It comes across more as watermelon candy than the real deal.

Watermelon (faux) and vanilla dominate the taste. The lime creeps in at the end of the sip. Vanilla and watermelon just don’t work together for me. That said, I’ve never really enjoyed any beer with watermelon, so may not be the target audience on this one. The lime just seems to muddle the final final product for me.

Medium body as expected from the series.

Not my thing. I feel like this was the product of someone wearing their ‘Bad Idea Jeans’ at the wrong time. My first miss from the series which is usually top of class for the style in the area.

Body looks like fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, cloudy and unfiltered; just barely forms a bubbly white head, which dissipates rapidly.
Aroma is tropical, like passion fruit, light pineapple, lime; some bubblegum, white grape.
I think if I hadn't known otherwise, the first thing that would come to mind for me is bubblegum flavour-wise. Those blocks of Bubblicious. Knowing to expect it, definitely picking up the watermelon, which is blending seamlessly with the lime. The trademark smoothness in the feel owing to the lactose, deftly done to avoid being overly sweet. Medium body and medium-light carbonation, with a lightly prickly acidity helping to balance things, as the hop bitterness is moderate allowing the fruit to shine. Medium-dry finish, there is some residual sweetness.

A delightful summer treat, with flavours nostalgic of childhood. Wouldn't mind a carbonation boost. Fun, hope they bring it back sometime!
