Out of retirement. 2024 rendition has 8.5% ABV and listed an imperial IPA with Ontario maple syrup. Served cold into a tulip glass.
Appearance - Super hazy yellowy gold in color with honey brown and white highlights. Two fingers of foamy white head and reasonable staying power. foamy lacing clings to the edges of the glass.
Smell - Plenty of floral notes, note much citrus with a grassy resin aroma coming through and a faint hint of maple syrup.
Taste - A little leafy a splash of fruits and the underlying sweet maple syrup is there too. Not overdone with sweetness to be fair.
Mouthfeel - Fairly full bodied, medium carbonation and a dense finish. A bit juicy. Some boozy heat in the back of the throat.
Overall - A beer I enjoyed to be sure, but lacking a bit of a punch flavorwise into something I'd keep returning to. With that said, it's Bellwoods it's an IPA, so it's at least very well brewed and enjoyable.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy milky pale-yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of hoppy floral undertones with some faint notes of maple syrup also distinguishable. Taste is a great mix of hoppy floral undertones with some faint notes of maple syrup and residual sugar notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. I was a bit leery of the mix of maple syrup but quite enjoyable at the end of the day.
