Bottle from the brewery. Bottled in June 2023. Served cool into a chalice. Listed at 10% ABV.

Appearance - Midnight black and thick and oily from the bottle. Not much head initially but after everything settles, a two finger deep tan head formed. Good retention and minimal lacing.

Smell - Loads of chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla, with plenty of boozy barrel being recognized as well. Decadent and intense.

Taste - Loads of chocolate fudge, rich and decadent, sweet but balanced and delicious vanilla and hazelnut accents that cut through and mix up the sweetness some. Boozy but not overly so, the bourbon adds some excellent depth here with a trace of smoke and wood.

Mouthfeel - Thick and viscous, almost like a milkshake. Chewy without flavors of chewiness (i.e. molasses or caramel) Low carbonation and exceptionally full body. Masterclass for a big boozy and extremely flavorful stout.

Overall - Delicious treat at the end of the night and a great beer to sip over 90 minutes or so. Extremely filling and decadent, truly like a giant chocolate, hazelnut vanilla brownie. Would go great over vanilla ice cream I'm sure. Awesome brew from the crew at Bellwoods.

The original chunk. A good amount and variety of chocolate, and that's about it. Bottle from the brewery. Good for pastry fans, but the bourbon barrelling just takes sweetness around over-the-top.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-blakc color stotu with a dark brown foamy head with pretty retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet fudge notes with some vanilla and cocoa and some pretty intense bourbon notes. Taste is an intense mix of huge fudge notes with some cocoa and vanilla with some residual sugar notes and intense woody bourbon notes. Body is full with a nice creamy texture and good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes. Quite the experience and something I would like to drink again.
