473 ml can from the brewery. Served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - Dark caramel in color and quite clear. A small half finger of loose tan head is poured and goes away fairly quickly.

Smell - Not the biggest aroma as expected, but a nice combination of light grain, a bit of dark fruit and a couple of tea like aspects.

Taste - Light in flavor but again the combination of lightly roasted malt, grain and a bit of dark fruit and tea-like aspects makes for a surprisingly flavorful brew.

Mouthfeel - Carbonation is middling to low, body is thin but with the flavor this is extremely drinkable.

Overall - A great reminder as to why the Brits and Irish can sit in a pub all day and not stop drinking. Good tasting low ABV and very satisfying beer. The Dark Mild from Bellwoods hits that to a T. Well worth the purchase and wish there were more of these fine ales regularly available here.

Pours a clear caramel color. Caramel head formation with almost bo retention. Toffee, biscuit in the nose. Malt, caramel flavor. Thin mouthfeel. Light and very easy drinking .

Pours deep, clear burgundy with a small head that dissipates to a ring very quickly. The aroma is crystal malts, caramel, cherries and leather. The taste is malty and sweet with a light edge of fruitiness and astringency. The mouthfeel is very light bodied with sparse carbonation. Moderate fruity maltiness in the finish.

A nice Mild Ale that is less robust and more fruity than the norm for the style. Worth a try if you like malty and sessionable beers.
