Jelly King - Concord Grape

A rich amber-pink body, like a rose wine, but hazy and unfiltered, at first building a full, faintly pink white head, before fading fairly rapidly to a thing layer.
Aroma like a Welch's grape juice jolly rancher, along with a dash of must, bubblegum.
Flavour is of musty concord grape juice, the funk distinct and prominent, somewhat smoky, part of a well balanced trifecta along with the subdued, moderately tart fruit flavour and bittering hops; this isn't a 'juicy' fruit beer; finish is dry, feel is sharp with prickly, fine carbonation, medium body.

At first the musty character was a bit much, but it quickly balanced out on the palate, delivering an interesting fruit beer not dissimilar from a natural wine from volcanic soil.
