Pours thick and chunky, eliciting no head, but with aggressive swirling it can form up a 1/4 inch, the colour of brown butter, capping a near black body.
The raspberries are luscious and prominent on the nose, beautifully blended with rich dark chocolate - evoking a sense of a chocolate cream & raspberry tart.
The flavour very much matches the nose, a melodious blend of ripe rasberries and dark chocolate ganache, quite sweet, some molasses, this is a luscious dessert - it would make a fantastic gelato flavour; the carbonation is almost non-existent, and given the lack of alcohol heat or bitterness, it makes for an unbalanced feel & flavour, though silky on the tongue.
The flavour and nose deliver exactly what you'd expect, decadent, but the overall product lacks balance both in taste and feel, lost potential.
