Greenbelly emerged as our first Triple IPA many moons ago, and these days, we've been experimenting with pairing this hazy orb of wonder with different hops.

This single hopped triple IPA features Krush hops (formerly known as HBC 586) that were released in 2024 and developed with huge, punchy aromatics in mind. This beer displays notes of white gummy bears, watermelon candies, and sweet spruce.

At Gastropub on Erie St. East in nearby Windsor; on tap and chilled, 4oz. in a flight of four beers. My eighth beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and third for 2025.

473ml can served cold into a Bellwoods glass. Brewery purchase with a canning date of 10/12/24.

Appearance - Dark golden color with lots of haze and a few little bits of sediment. Honey brown highlights. A finger and a half of foamy white head and plus retention.

Smell - Big citrus nose, passionfruit with some strawberries, some lemon and some dank weedy aromas too.

Taste - Strawberries and other mixed berries some currents with a dank weedy flavor backing things up and a pinch of lemon. Fairly bitter and hop oils shine at the end. Definitely some booziness

Mouthfeel - Full bodied with modest carbonation, a bit hot with booze and a sipper of TIPA's.

Overall - A good and well brewed beer, I can see this being a favorite for some, but the nose and flavor profile, just aren't my favorites. With that said, it's still more than good enough to warrant a tipple.
