Best Bitter is a beer spearheaded by our very own Head Brewer Britt, brewed in honour of International Women’s Day. A traditional style, brewed with modern intent, it’s a tribute to the alewives who originated the craft and to the women continuing to shape it today.
So, how does Britt’s Best Bitter taste?
Imagine yourself in a meadow on a sun-drenched afternoon. The first whiff is all liquid gold, drizzled honey and sun-ripened apricot layered over a base of sweet caramel. On the palate, a moderate earthy bitterness arrives like a firm handshake, followed by the cozy comfort of toffee and dark fruit.
It all wraps up with a finish so clean it feels like it’s up for a promotion.

Had on tap. Mostly clear reddish brown body with a cream colored cap. Hoppier for the style in the nose with earthy and leafy hops, toffee malts behind. Taste adds some apricot and more so vague dark fruit to the malt, more balanced than the nose. Feel is malty and smooth but certainly cooler and new world for the style.
