Bottle from the brewery. Bottled less than 2 weeks ago. Poured in to Bellwoods snifter.

A - Light orange with a big yellow glow throughout. Half a finger of cream coloured head. Spotty lacing.

S - Clove and Belgian yeast up front with some herbal and piney hop aromas. Some sweet caramel and bready malts in the background.

T - Huge bitterness up front with Belgian yeast characteristics evident up front (yeast and cloves). Some American style hopping adds pine, herbal and lighter citrus flavours. The malts and some sweetness and lighter caramel and bready flavours.

M - Medium body. Light carbonation. lots of hop oils present.

O - Yet another solid offering from Bellwoods!

On tap at Bellwoods.

Amber/copper in colpur, with a good sized white head. Head fades fairly quickly. Good lacing.

Smell is great. Nice big west-coast hops. Citrus fruit, some yeast. Smells like a (good) IPA with a bit of a twist. Good stuff.

Taste has Belgian yeast, citrus fruit, light spice. Menu suggests melon and I get that, but would never have picked it out on my own. Very nice. More IPA than Saison, but both aspects are in there. The malt base does strongly suggest Saison. Yum!

Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A bit oily.

Overall, really good! I am consistently impressed by the Bellwoods stuff. This is a pretty unique and very yummy beer.

On tap at Volo's, OCB week. The aroma yields a bit of farmland. Bold farmhouse flavour with fresh bitterness. Soapy head, good lacing. Good drinkability, average mouthfeel. Good idea and well integrated. Another solid Bellwoods creation. Good summer beer.

First ever time reviewing a beer first and its a mixture of styles. I picked belgian ipa as the regular farmhouse ale is a belgian style saison. Was lucky enough that a buddy picked this up for me from the brewery over the weekend. Not sure if it will be a limited release or not but it has only been bottled this once so far.

Pours a slightly dark, clear amber/orange with a good amount of frothy white head. Tastes of a mixture of the ipa and saison styles as it has some herbs with the belgian yeast standing out, and some nice bitterness as well. Some slight floral tastes coming through tool. Very nice mouthfeel overall and the 7.3% alc. is well hidden in this one. An interesting hybrid of a beer overall.

The second glass of this bomber add some slight spices to the flavour as well. Very nice beer overall.
