Very fresh bottle from the brewery. Poured in to Bellwoods snifter.
A - Medium yellow/amber colour. Hazy. Half a finger of white head formed and receded to a thin layer.
S - Fresh grapefruit, tangerine, peach and pine. A touch of malt sweetness in the background. Very fresh and vibrant.
T - A good bitterness up front that delivers big pine and grapefruit flavours with some orange zest. Not as much flavour from the hops as the nose indicated. Dry and bittern finish that lingers.
M - Medium body, fully of tongue coating hop oils. Moderate carbonation.

On tap at Bellwoods.
Light amber/copper in colour, good sized white head. Moderate retention, good lacing.
Smell is full of hops. Sticky citrus scents. A clear precursor to the taste! Good.
Taste is biter. Lots of citrus: grapefruit, orange. Pine as well. Malt is minimal, but a bit spicy. Menu says there is rye in here and that explains it- would not have picked it out on my own but it is clear when looking for it. Very good.
Medium bodied, moderate to high carbonation. Oily.
Overall. very good. A seriously good IPA. The Bellwoods folks know how to do hops, there is no doubt about it.

A buddy picked this up at the brewery for me. The first glass of the bomber pours a clear golden amber with a good amount of carbonation. The second glass was just slightly hazy with some floaties in there. Smelled piney and hoppy as well. Lots of bitterness in the taste, to go with the fruit flavour of grapefruit with some pine and a citrus hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is very smooth and the 7.6% alcohol is well hidden. Very nice beer overall. Has to be the best brewery in Ontario.
