On cask during the pre-Cask Days event at Bellwoods. This is a one off version of the Muggleweisse with figs added to the cask.
Beer is a dark burgundy colour, maroonish. A bit of bubble around the side but no head.
Smell consists of fig, prune and a bit of bready malt.
TONNES of fig in the taste. Quite overpowering. Hard to get much else. Taste is slightly tart.
Light bodied, low carbonation.
Overall, Muggleweisse is one of my least favourite Bellwoods beers and the addition of the figs do not improve matters. Not my thing.
