Brettal Head is a unique, intensely fruity style of foeder aged pale ale. This fully fermented and massively dry hopped beer undergoes refermentation in oak, creating new layers of complex brett character, light acidity, lasting hop aromatics, and expressive fruit flavour.
What it smells and tastes like: A hugely fruity style that balances acidity with notes of mango, apricot, and pineapple. Subtly earthy and spritely.

Pours half finger of foam. Cream yellow color and smells fruity and piney with hints of lemon. Going to take a sip.
I've had this taste before and not sure where, but it's probably from Bellwood's. Smell is very similar to it's taste.
Oh....hold on. I got it. "White Picket Fence" beer ( See my review on that one ). I knew i had this weird taste before.
It's like lemon water dish soap ( not chemically ). I'm still on the fence on this one. I don't really like beers like these.
I feel like this one is a little bit more mild in taste compared to White Picket Fence, but i don't know.
I could drink it again and buy it again if i really wanted too, but i honestly prefer pretty much every other beer style compared to this one. It's not bad at all, but I think it's more of a "Me" problem and I'm just not used to it. I've been speaking English for 32 years and I wholeheartedly still don't know what the word "Brett" means. I'm going to assume it means lemony weird and just ok, in English.
Hey, give this one a try or even White Picket Fence. I'm curious what other people think. Catch you next time, eh?

500 ml can from the brewery. Canned May 19, 2022. Listed at 6% ABV. Served cold into a tulip.
Appearance - Hazy and murky yellow beer with honey brown hues. Two fingers of loose white head are poured and fizzle down a small one finger cap in some time where it stays for seemingly forever. No lacing to speak of and the turbidity is sufficient that I can't see carbonation.
Smell - Sour, with earthy funky, some woody and vinegar notes. Some floral aspects too.
Taste - Earthy with barnyard funk. Horse blanket is apt here. Some straw flavors as well and hints of sourness. At the end some mineral water. Intersecting in that the brett components are prominent by seem subdued by the end.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, maybe a little lighter than average. Carbonation is middling, less spritzy than expected. Finish is moderately dry.
Overall - Good brew but if anything there's less brett here than I thought there would be the intensity is good but maybe only a 7 which makes this perhaps easier for the casual craft beer drinker to digest, it is somehow a little less interesting. Nonetheless a good beer and glad to have tried from one of Ontario's best.

500mlbottle from brewery.
Pale straw with moderate, quickly dissipating head.
Grapefruit and light funk on the nose. Broad citrus and herbal flavours. Slightly sweet. Effervescent. A solid all Brett pale ale.

Milky dull orange like scrambled eggs. White, soap-suds head flashes to life and burns out like fireworks.
Loads of citrus, orange and grapefruit, and pineapple in the aroma.
Light-medium body and carbonation, bitter citrus peel and a very dry finish. Flavours of grapefruit and orange.
A decent, sessionable, simple pale ale, but a little more bitter than I'd expect.

Bottle: Poured a hazy blonde color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of light dry Bretty notes is blander then I was expecting. Taste is also dominated by dry Bretty notes with light malt profile. Light lemony notes are also discernable. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation. I was expecting a beer with more character than what I tasted. Enjoyable but not sure I need to seek again.
