Brown in color with vibrant carbonation bubbles within the body. There's a quarter inch of dishwater white on top. The aroma is of earthy, peppery saison yeast and light biscuity malt. The taste is comprised of the earthy, peppery yeast, but there's a banana note at the end that is more along the lines of a hefeweizen. The body is light, crisp, and moderately carbonated.

look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4

Look: Hazy gold with huge fluffy white head, some lacing and good retention
Smell: lemony and peppery
Taste: Well balanced, some sweetness upfront but finishing dry with a moderate bitterness. the lemon and pepper continue to be noticeable with a slight acidity and a spiciness that at 5.5% ABV probably is not attributable to the alcohol
Feel: Light bodied and effervescent - nicely carbonated but not explosive.

Overall: Well the low ratings by others significantly lowered my expectations of this beer, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a really nicely done quality saison that gets pretty much everything right from the look to the mouthfeel. It reminds me quite a bit of the Brooklyn Sorachi Ace. Very pleasant, refreshing, and at 5.5%, much more drinkable than a lot of popular saisons.

Pours a turbid amber with crazy amounts of pearl white head, either over carbonated or infected... Never clears, above average head retention & lacing (3.5)

S: Pear & peach notes (3.5)

T: Pears, grassy hops, bready notes up front, plus dryness. White grapes & pears, a little bit of pepper as this warms. Finishes dry with pear & even cider notes (2.75)

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation, dry, a little coarse (3.25)

Pretty run of the mill, so far this brewery hasn't impressed me, sadly I have 3 more to drink (3.0)
