Poured a gorgeous clear amber with a one finger white head that dissipated to a thin ring leaving little lacing. Very well done and true to style. Scents of pine, citrus zest, grapefruit some tropical fruit and very strong notes of orange. The citrus and pine of the Centennial hops are definitely on full display here, leading to a very pleasant citrus and pine aroma profile. Flavors of pine resin and citrus peel, with orange in the background and a floral, citrus blossom-like hop flavor present as well. Very little malt is present at all, making this far more hop forward than many pale ales. The finish and aftertaste are bitter. Mouthfeel is light bodied, with low carbonation and a smooth, oily feel. Very easy to drink and quite sessionable in this regard. Overall this is a great pale ale built to showcase a single hop. It does a fine job of that, even if that means toning down the malt bill a bit so that the hops aren't overwhelmed. Its quite good.

Another fine edition in the Unihopper series. The beer has a deep gold appearance with a solid, lasting white foam. The aroma has a very hop forward nose with intense citrus and pine freshness. Not much malt balance, the hop intensity seems much stronger with this edition vs. previous hop varieties.
The taste has more intensity as well. The balance of dry malt is very faint, yet clean as the Centennial hops deliver a blast of pine and citrus, and quite a bit more bitterness than the IBU would suggest. I particularly enjoy the finish on this beer as it has a nice crackery dryness to balance out the hop bitterness. Excellent all around mouthfeel and carbonation.
This is an extravagantly hopped pale ale with an excellent drinkability. I miss the subtle balance that previous versions of the Unihopper had, but at the same time I am blown away by the zealous hoppiness for what is almost a sessionable ale. Reminiscent of something Sierra Nevada would brew. Highly Recommended.
