Medium brown color, white head. Herbal spice and wheat aroma, a bit of chocolate. Similar flavors, good balance between the darker malt and yeast flavors. Medium bodied.

I had it in Tucson International airport while waiting for a delayed flight. It was mild and flat, reminded me of old Newcastle. I was given it instead of an IPA by accident. It was their seasonal offering, might have been an old leg but I wasn't impressed. I got the right beer after a couple sips, and it was much better.

Poured a rich, cloudy brown with orangish highlights and a thin cap of off-white head. Quite nice looking and very appealing. Scents of bread crust, caramel malt, light apple, moderate banana and spicy clove-like esters and faint, light bubblegum. Overall impression of aroma is of a nice, classic Dunkelweizen with a nicely malt, phenolic and ester-rich aroma profile that is pleasing and clean. Flavor begins with moderate-high flavors of banana and clove, balanced with a light caramel sweetness and bready wheat malt. This moves into a middle that continues the banana and clove flavors, but is balanced more towards clove, with a balancing grainy malt, light bread crust and light bubblegum. Finish imparts a high level of clove flavors, balanced by a moderate level of banana and medium-light bubblegum, with a very light citrus sourness, bready and bread crust malt richness balances the yeast character. Aftertaste is bread crust from the rich malt, bready malt from the wheat, clove and white pepper and very light bubblegum and banana. Overall impression of flavor is of a nice Dunkelweizen that is rich in yeast-derived flavors, but is balanced by the nice darker malts and the wheat to be a refreshing yet malty flavor profile overall that is quite pleasant. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and creamy in feel, with effervescent carbonation and a smooth finish. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a classic Dunkelweizen, refreshing, yet malty and quite nice. Overall this is an excellent Dunkelweizen. It fits the style well in aroma, flavor and mouthfeel. The end result is a nicely refreshing, spicy, yet rich and malty beer that is very pleasant to drink. Very nice.
