1/2 pint served in a small shaker at the brewery, Standing Stones larger is a crystal clear pale gold with a big, fluffy white head that is very long lasting and totally coats the side of the glass with foam.

Smell is very soft, actually, I really don't' get anything at all. Tis allergy season, but I had no such problems with their ales.

Taste is on the buttery side, like sweet cream. I normally like a little diacetyl in my lagers, but with nothing else for balance, it's too much.

Mouthfeel is pretty creamy and carbonated, with a medium body.

Drinkability is below average for me, although it was cold enough to slug down if I wanted, I didn't bother, and left most of it. Quite a looker, but all show and no go.

Standing Stone’s lager is a very agreeable beer. Pale yellow with low CO2, it sports a smart, fluffy white head, ambitious lace, and an inviting grainy aroma. The flavor is clean, abundant, and refreshing. An awesome session beer or food companion. One is not enough.

Pale yellow with a foamy white head. Good lacing bumps up the appearance.

Smells clean. Lightly malty with a slight hop character and no off smells.

Taste is very nice. Flavorful malt is balanced nicely with the hops and leaves the palate clean and refreshed. Goes down very smooth and paired well with my fish and chips.

This is one lager I will have to enjoy when I make another trip to Ashland.
