Can poured into pint glass at Reno in Logan Square. Tasty stuff.

An average wit.
Looks cloudy, like the wheat and yeast are working; but I don't get an inviting foam or lasting lace. Smells say citrus, but the typical spices are mild. Tastes follow this modest path. Feel is merely refreshing. Paired decent with a summer BBQ.
As my 7th from Solemn Oath, I owe them a brewer review, or the start of one.
They are the only brewer I know in which all 7 ratings of mine are below the average.
Yet, I want to like them. But, I don't. And I'm not sure why.
They have brought beer culture to Illinois' second biggest city. They have a popular taproom and are community-oriented. They commit much of their time and energy to adapting the Belgian tradition (my favorite.) And they have fun.
Yet somehow, things don't ring genuine enough to me. Maybe over-time their beers will improve and I will mellow. Maybe that starts with a visit to their taproom?

Taste: crisp, lemony, white pepper, crackers, wheat, dry finish. Peppery, yeast nose. Gold, clear, tall foamy white head, some lace. Medium body. Dry hopped.

Pint can dated 5/9/18, 6 weeks old. Hazy yellow, small head, slowly rising bubbles. Smell is a little medicinal. Taste is a little clove, herbal. Feel is smooth, pretty average. Overall, this is OK but this particular can was not so great.
