Appearance is the classic brown, dark and foamy in the glass. Some roasted malt aroma is the other redeeming feature. Warm malt with some caramel sweetness. The dark side is close, however, and it slides into a gritty, dirty bitterness. I would call it dishwatery, with that bitter soapy taste.
Why is this stuff so bitter? Rarely have I had a less drinkable dumb brown. On tap at the brewery tasting room.
