Fuzzy Method Hazy IPA

From a tall tulip glass with somewhat vigorous pour, 3 finger white head with stiffness approaching meringue. Head recedes to thin film over a considerable time. Some lacing. smell and taste are both guava plus indistinct citrus. Mouthfeel is moderate to heavy body without a clean finish. It almost coats the mouth.overall nicely done if you have a hankering for guava.

 

Pours a hazy golden yellow with 2 plus fingers of rocky head that recedes slowly to a thin cap with some lacing. Nose and taste are mildly citrus, crisp and clean.

 

 

Aroma was top notch - lots of tropical and grapefruity notes. Taste is malty, sweet with tons of fruitiness - almost a juicy ipa. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. Not a ton of hop bite but definitely some nice bitterness for IPA lovers. Almost tastes like a west coast ipa but with more of a malty backbone. The Societe website says this is made with El Dorado, Citra, Nelson hops and has a "vast, mystical, charming" flavor profile. I guess if you drink enough of these the mystical will prove true but beyond the marketing speak this one is a solid hazy IPA - albeit nearly an imperial IPA. Check it out if you can.
