Pours a clear golden amber with abundant foam in the Ommegang chalice. Aromatic with orange, lemon, and passionfruit. Sharp and sprightly on the tongue. Not really sweet, but tastes of cookie dough with lime juice. Clean and crisp with a long aftertaste of melon and a moderate bitterness. Fruity and inviting hoppy brew. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine. Dated 04/25/23.

4 finger white head in a tall tulip. Lots of lacing. Head settles to a thin film plus island of suds. Very pale yellow/ very clear. Not a lot of smell but some fruit. Flavor is nondescript fruit plus a lot of hop character. Mild bitterness. Clean finish. Body on the lighter side of medium. A nice option if you are looking for a lighter version of an IPA.

Amazing can art....sort of a neo-disco, funky flashback 50/90s (?!) sort of mashup, purple and pink and metallic colors. Very cool.
LOOK:
In the glass pint jar it's a brilliant hazy straw golden color with lots of carbonation and a fluffy thick three inch head that fell to a dense half-inch layer of persistent foam. Great lacing on the sides of the glass.
NOSE:
Not huge aromatics for me but it's late at night so sometimes I can't get as much on the nose, but inviting smells of "golden hop flavors" (lemon grass, herbs, some stone fruits) come through with my nose in the glass.
TASTE:
Weird...it's like the nose, muted hops, but plenty of flavor, very smooth and drinkable with just enough hop bitterness and zestiness to make me want to take another sip and let it go over my tongue. It's the mouthfeel....
MOUTHFEEL:
Very, very well done! It's a zinger across the tongue that feels substantial and NOT thin, but also finishes very dry like it wasn't there, albeit with some hop oil bitterness coming through.
OVERALL:
This beer tastes of fresh hops and is a unique and interesting West Coast style single IPA that comes off as balanced, but with a medium-to-dry finish. It's not super bitter and in some ways is a "Flashback," and hence the name maybe? Either way, it's good!
Post Script:
Not sure what the malt and hop bill for this is, but it's unique, drinkable, and quite good. I wish I would have bought more than one can at Trader Joe's in Temecula, CA! I'll go back for some more before we're off to the Yosemite Valley! :)

It’s fine. As things are. Like walking to your mailbox and not getting any junk mail. Yeah, that’s fine. And strolling through the park and not stepping on any dog doodoo. Yeah, that’s fine too. And what about walking past a 24 Hour Fitness but not having some meat head harass you about joining up? You got it, it’s fine. And that’s where we are with this “just fine beer.” It’s not like finding your grandpa’s Playboy collection. It’s not like your spouse bringing home In N Out for supper. And it’s not like hitting a stand up double in adult softball (I lack power, my children). It’s just simply alright and stuff. Alright?

Typical copper color. Typical white head. Nose is very piney. Taste is clean, citrus/pine. Feel was not as awesome as I expected. I like a bit more bitterness. Overall good beer.
