Highly Skilled is a fabulous fruity fiesta float in a tropical hop parade. Flaunting five hop varieties and built for brightness and balance, this IPA proudly rolls out the fruit notes in a style all its own.

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Tripel Karmeliet tulip. Bright and sudsy with a lively carbonation on the tongue. Aromatic with lemon peel and peach. Tastes of apricot and more citrus, with orange peel in the finish. It's all mellow and fruity. The hops are in nice balance with the malt. What else can you say? Good for a gulp but a real pleasure to sip. Perhaps my favorite Societe beer ever. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea's Brewing. Dated 08/31/23.

Juicy like Kim Kardashian in her “cinema” debut, but there’s also a bit of cardboard in the aftertaste - which then ends with a paste-like feel. This one is more underwhelming than Francis Ford Coppola spending his entire fortune on that doody of a film (not that I’ve seen it. Hehe).
Ok, Raul is clocking out.

Wow! This is one of the best WCIPAs I have enjoyed in some time! I picked it up at Trader Joe's in Temecula CA July 2023, canned June 30th, so pretty dang fresh!
LOOK:
Amazing can art! I LOVE this style, like an old segment from 1970s Sesame Street.
Typical West Coast looking beer with very slight cloudiness. Despite what the other reviewer said (and I enjoyed his review btw), I do see some slight haziness in this beer, not a "hazy" style look, but just a slight but of unfiltering. Not a problem, I like that and it may be why this beer is less bitter...anyway, it is light yellow/orange with a head that was initially 2" and then dissipated almost completely with just 1/4" head of persistent bubbles. Great lacing, moderate bubbles coming up.
NOSE:
Great smell of grassy, fruit forward hops, but not a huge nose per se. Good, but understated. Hmmmm...smells great, but not like a typical WCIPA. More melons and herbs, less pine and grapefruit like a typical West Coast expression of the style.
ON THE TONGUE:
Whoa!! Wow, this is quite amazing. Low bitterness but tons of amazing hoppy flavor. I personally find it hard to get just one particular bold flavor, it's more of an integration of flavors but mainly melon, orange zest and "creamy"/creamsicle vibes (this is the most interesting note in terms of flavor), and that background fresh cut green grassy vibe you get from certain hops.
*They must have dry hopped the beejesus out of this beer!*
MOUTHFEEL:
Moderate, with an amazingly medium soft finish. Creamy. It's NOT dry, although it's also not thick or too sweet. Up front on the tongue it's zingy and zesty, middle of the tongue I get bigger, bolder and more bitter flavors and "feels," and then it finishes smoother and with less bitterness than you might expect. Still, it's got mad hops and the oils linger, in a good way.
As the other reviewer said, it's sessionable without food but would stand up well to bolder, spicy food pretty well.
Solid!! I'd say it's a new fangled/new style West Coast IPA and I'd rather drink this than most of the hazy IPAs I've had lately, and I sure as hell don't want just typical old school IPAs, I want this beer more. I will buy more...I see myself drinking this at the beach and in the mountains, and while I watch the price of BTC at home. ;)
What is "Creamsicle":
*Creamsicle is an ice cream favorite loved for generations. Featuring vanilla and orange flavors

I like it. Canned 6/27/23. Consumed from a tall tulip 7/12. very light gold color, crystal clear, no haze. Voluminous white head of reasonably long duration. good lacing. Some fruity smell; more fruit than expected for a WCIPA. Nicely balanced between fruit and hops. Relatively low bitterness means this is good either with or without food, Medium body, really nice, clean finish.
