This is being reviewed with the understanding that the base style is a light Lager.

It is gem clear, straw yellow (SRM 2). One half inch of white head quickly flashes and crackles away similar to soda. There is no lacing and occasional large bubbles of carbonation rocket skyward from the bottom of a North Coast Pint Glass.

The strawberry and lime are strong and in that order. Some grains poke through from the background. The aroma is simple and well done. Generally speaking it is sweet and aromatic.

The flavor sweetness matches expectations from the aroma, as do the strawberries and limes. Light bitterness is just enough to keep sweetness in check. The long finish has a mild astringency.

The body is thin, with a hard satin texture. There is no sensation of alcohol. Carbonation is fizzy, almost exactly like seltzer water. The mineral and metallic notes work well here.

This is an easy-drinking and very flavorful light beer. Together with the aromatics, it has a refreshing quality that one could enjoy during a ballgame or backyard barbeque on a hot summer day. One could consider this a beer version of a wine cooler. Much thanks to Libby.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden color. No real head to speak of.

Aroma has notes of sweet candied strawberry and sweet lemonade. There is a slight undertone of beer on this one, but really it is dominated by the sweet strawberry lemonade.

Taste follows with notes of strawberry, lemonade and some light lagery notes underneath the beer. Pretty sweet.

Feel is light, crisp, easy drinking. Bright carbonation.

Overall its a solid summer beer. Not one I want to drink too many of though as the sweetness becomes overbearing.

first thought when my friends showed up to the campsite with a THIRTY pack of this was WTF is THIS?!

F: light body, moderate carbonation, insanely sweet finish
O: at first I thought it was decent, but now that I’m on my second can I’m having a hard time getting it down. It’s just so, so sweet

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pale in color, smells just like strawberry lemonade. Tastes just like it too, with a natty light background of course. Very syrupy and sugary. Absolutely delicious though. Will give you the worst hangover of your life.
