Copenhagen 4/9 2023. 33 cl bottle from Spar, Langestraat, Oostende. An victorious Angel stepping on the head of a groveling bearded fellow on the label.

Pours unclear golden yellow with a huge white head. Stable. Settles as 4 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a sharp edge of alcohol with a whiff of sour grains.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a touch of alcohol. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.

Boozy pale Belgian.

330ml can served in a tulip. 27/11/2024 is stamped on the bottom of the can. Brought to me by a Belgian friend a couple weeks ago.

Pours a clear bright yellow, big fluffy head, thick clumpy lacing. Smell is, kind of surprisingly, more of a lager/bread yeast than anything else. Light earthy vibe.

Taste is moderate honey and grain sweetness, moderate earthy hops bitterness. Leans more toward the sweetness side. Want there to be something just a bit funky or spicy in there, but not finding it.

Mouthfeel is lightish and pretty clean (particularly at 8.5%). Overall...it's not bad, and it's almost really good. Little adjustments would have a big effect, for me.

33 cL bottle, poured fridge cold into a snifter in Toulouse, France. Packed on October 10, 2023, 64 days to me, Best By October, 2024.
Big bold foam jumps up and down, leaves good splotches of white lace.
Smell is yeasty, bready, the Saaz hop is poking through nicely.
Taste is right in that same pocket; there’s a ‘heavy pilsner’ profile, a counterbalance of sweetness, the yeast blots a banana peel. Bright and dry finish, hop lingers long, the alcohol leaves a blister.
Mouth is refreshing and light, it’s zippy carbonated.
Overall, it’s OK, despite the use of rice and it being a cousin of Budweiser.,

A strong belgian blonde by Inbev,
330ml bottle. 8,5% abv. Poured in a small cornet glass at 6 dgerees celcius. Advise everyone to pour it in a big glass. Yello-golden slighly hazy pilsner colour. Highly carbonated and doing a huge amount of foam. Much going on there, react0 very vivid on pouring, overflowed my glass, small bubbles though.
Smell, yeast, sour dough bread and a little bit of dirty ladies underwear.
Mouth feel, balanced, sour, sweet, bitter perfectly in balance with a tinly carbonation.
Taste: full hoppy, malty,
A very good strong Belgian blonde. Maybe lacks a bit of edge and character,
But no complaints, can drink this any day in the year.

L- Pale gold, clear, 1cm white foam cap. Some sediment left in bottle. Solid rising CO2.
S- Mildly spicy
T- Quite meaty, Belgian yeast notes, into hoppy dry finish
F- Feels quite light for 8.5% - bright hops and high CO2 does that
O- Late on I get the Begian yeast. Very drinkable.

i had no idea this was an inbev beer when i bought it (i had never heard of it either, but it appeared in my local albert heijn, so i figured i’d give it a shot). upon further inspection, the reading of “100% natural ingredients” on the front label spooked me, and sure enough i turned it around to find it be brewed by inbev, and it be their imitation of duvel. its not that bad to be fair, but its dull, there’s really not a lot going on beyond a general belgian yeast and spice flavour, its quite grainy, bready, light bitterness on the finish, light bodied with high carbonation, its a boring beer but its inoffensive

De Belgiuminabox. En copa Duvel. Viendo The Mandalorian 2x08.
