Brewed using a blend of imported and classic American aroma hops, and a blend of barley malts and rice. Budweiser is brewed with time-honored methods including “kraeusening” for natural carbonation and Beechwood aging, which results in unparalleled balance and character.

Last reviewed in 2012. Bought a single 12 oz can. Reviewed to style.
Golden pour with a thick white head....Very light aroma of grain, a boiled rice twang, some sweetness....It smells like beer.
Taste follows the nose. A bit sweet, grainy, with virtually no bitterness....Body is light and it finishes dry.
I never liked it and it was never my first choice, but drinking this now, its not bad....just very bland and lacking in character...I much prefer others in the style with a bit more character like Narragansett, Coors Banquet and Miller High Life to name a few...

Taste like a beer meant for drinking not enjoying.

A refreshing beer when cold, like most AALs. And the clear color with bubbles is nice. The flavor, however, strikes me as being overly sweet, which kind of ruins it. But I can see that it's designed to go with salty junk foods--chips, wings, etc.--so the sweetness of the beer would counteract in some way the saltiness of the food. In this context it's understandable. But as a standalone drinking experience, the sweetness seems a bit much.

Not as bad as I feared it would be. Despite being raised in a family where Pabst brands (there was more than just PBR) were preferred, I still couldn't drink this. And now that I know more about beer, not a chance I'd choose it on my own.

It’s definitely not great, but you’re a fool to drink a Budweiser and expect anything but cheap beer. In my mind, this is most certainly the definitive default American lager that hits the spot when you just need a little something to wind down, but you can certainly do better (or alternatively, a lot worse).

I think Budweiser is a nice alternative to a Coca Cola when you're having a sandwich and some potato chips for lunch. I think the cans look great. You know what you're getting and there are much worse tasting beers out there than Bud.
