Uniquely brewed, a higher alcohol Budweiser beer with a slightly sweeter palate.

Had that one time at a party back in the day. I have had a wicked lot of beers from these guys, most of which are not at all good whatsoever, this included.

Purchased at the LCBO as a single so it's the catch all price! $2.00. Served at 5deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens with a huge pop and pours a 1.5in high white head that is gone in seconds. Light to medium gold colour and filtered clear
S- Not much but much better than standard Bud. Has a metallic hint to it just like a regular Bud though which is disappointing
T- Nice malt backbone which takes this rating up a bit but still not that great. Hops almost not present as expected from a typical North American brew like this. Just pedestrian and not something a craft brew lover would like.
M- Pretty creamy which was unexpected. This is the only reason why it didn't get a North American typical 2.75. Think the extra alcohol brewing time helped here.
O- Nice to have a quick one and go as this is only a cup. Not great but not bad
Food Pairing
This decent little brew went well with....... Skewers on the spaduch. Super nice to marinade the meat of various kinds then throw them on the nice and hot spaduch.
Enjoy!!!

236 mL can picked up at TBS; served ice cold. I have a feeling this will be a brief review - partially because I can never find much to say about these cheap lagers, but mostly because this is a chugging beer and I feel pretty silly for even bothering to review it.
Pours a pale straw yellow colour, topped with one finger of loose, puffy white head that recedes quickly over the next two or three minutes, leaving behind a thin cap. Looks fine for a strong lager. The aroma is almost nauseatingly sweet, with lots of corn syrup, grainy sweetness and a whiff of ethanol. Not appetizing at all, but technically this is a malt liquor so I can't knock it too hard because it conforms to the style.
This tastes even sweeter than it smells, which would be appalling if it weren't completely unsurprising. The candy corn sweetness is virtually relentless, and accompanied later by some grainy pale malts, cotton candy and cardboard flavours. The aftertaste is a mixture of corn syrup and mild heat from the ethanol - it's reasonably well-hidden for a 7.0% lager, but you can still tell it's there. Thin-bodied and watery, with surprisingly modest carbonation levels that do little to cut through the insipidly sweet flavours. This is drinkable, but only if you chug it quickly - the flavours are too cloying and gross for this to be worth consuming any other way.
Final Grade: 2.44, a forgettable D+. Pretty terrible, but what were you expecting from a beer whose sole purpose is to get'cha drunk quickly? This will get the job done and I wouldn't turn one of these down if offered, but they really do set the bar extremely low - I'd prefer Molson's Cold Shots over this, not to mention any number of regular adjunct lagers. Not something I'm likely to recommend or purchase again, but it's not bad for the price. If you drink it cold and without hesitation, there are certainly worse options as far as getting yourself hammed goes.

Poured out into a small mug with a brief soapy head that quickly settled over slightly cloudy gold colored liquid. Smell was sweet and a little bready, no hop aroma. Decent mouthfeel with a bit less carbonation than the usual Bud product. Kinda full bodied. Taste is sweet with little else to help this to stand out. Finishes with a bit of malt. Was interested to try this one since I never had heard of this until a day or two ago. A "one time deal" as I won't purchase again. Coors sells a similar product here too. Go figure.

236ml can poured into pint glass 26/2/13
A clear bright golden yellow liquid with lots of bubbles and tiny suspended particles, short lived finger of loose soapy foam leaves a single ring of lace
S sweet corny malt, quite sweet, a little booze and cracker not much going on really
T reminds me of plastic just a bit, more sweet corny malt and faint purple candy,
M thin and prickly from the bubbles, a little heat and a sweet aftertaste
O much better then I thought it would be but that's not saying much
the 236ml can is a good serving size for this one, its not gross but its nothing special either, don't bother
