Brewed with apricots from Oregon.

This Saison's gone up to the skies, the apricot drives me out-of my mind. I'll drink it for a little while, I like to drink delicious things. Satellite of Love.

Slight apricot taste, more spice and bubbly. Does not taste like a 7.2 ABV nice light tasting. Not too much hop flavor and no bite. Almost tastes like flavored sparkling water with a little more flavor. Really. good. 19 IBUs Rated 11-14-2018

Pours a cloudy yellow amber color with a thick foamy head. Head retention is very good as is lacing. Aroma of citrus, lemon, Belgian yeasts and mild funk. Smooth Belgian yeast taste with a mild lemon finish. Nice finish. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a copper tone and a one finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, saison yeast, apricot and hints of lemon and orange citrus; fruitier than your average saison. Flavor is grainy male, saison yeast with a bit of funk, light apricot, lemon and orange citrus and citrus zest. Finishes with grain and nice fruit esters that combine both light stone fruit and citrus. Medium bodied with nice peppery carbonation. I had slight trepidation on opening as there was a tart note in the aroma that did not show up in the glass nor in the flavor (although there is mild citrus tartness). The bright fruit notes are unexpected and refreshing, and although it had light stone fruit character, I'm not sure I would have identified it as apricot in a blind taste. The citrus flavors are equally mysterious, but meld with the grain and apricot in a very pleasant way. This was a saison that intrigued me at first and then grew on me quite a bit as I drank it. Spot on carbonation and malt grain for the style. Gigantic seems to be repeating brews now, and I hope this is one of them, I'd get it again in a heartbeat.

Pours a clear amber with persistent foam in the Societe nonic. Zingy carbonation but a delightful creamy mouthfeel. Aroma is interestingly musty and fruity. While apricot is not the first thing I think of, there is a tangy and fruity flavor that follows through to the aftertaste. Moderate yeasty aftertaste with the usual bitter edge. Overall this is a complex and flavorful Belgian-inspired brew. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Bine & Vine.
