Poured at the Brussels beer fest in August 2017. Pours pitch black, almost no carbonation. Nose is incredible. Bourbon, vanilla, marshmallow, and roasted malt. Bourbon county level, easily. Taste is incredible. Big vanilla, bourbon, and marshmallow. Really didn't disappoint after the amazing nose. It was a tad bitter on the back end with slight alcohol burn, but nothing that noticeable. This really is an amazing beer, and one of the highlights of the festival. Mouthfeel is creamy creamy creamy. Amazing.

I tried this on tap at Bluejacket courtesy of the Bluejacket GM -served chilled in a snifter.
This is a black colored stout with medium brown head with fine bead, retention is good. The smell is great -lots of caramel and vanilla sweetness with bourbon in the nose and slight spice with moderate cocoa scent. The feel is excellent as it has a perfect balance of the base with the added whiskey in the feel without coming off as excessive as far as alcohol heat.
The flavor is great better than the nose lets on , plenty of whiskey in the taste with a dark malt sweetness and bourbon adding another layer to the already great cocoa-like flavor with some spice in their for the complexity of a sweet stout with the bourbon augmenting the caramel in the malt flavor and adding some vanilla with cinnamon and slight alcohol adding a perception of spiciness in the back -perhaps the peppers(?) also have some shared responsibility in that regard. This is a great beer one I had to sip to take in for a while. You can taste the elevated alcohol from the barrel aging, but it doesn't overpower the base which I like

Look: On tap, pours a jet black with no head.
Aroma: Rich dark chocolate, cocoa nibs, coconut (smells almost like a Mounds bar), coffee, and sweet notes.
Taste: Matches the aroma, full of slightly bitter cocoa nib flavors, roasted, and faint whiskey. The chili comes in a bit towards the end.
Feel: Silky smooth mouthfeel, good stuff; leaves a coating of bitter cocoa.

One of the earlier reviewers said this was like a huna light... I would like to amend that to a huna light light.
Appearance is pretty standard, half a finger of khaki head.
Nose. Chocolate and coffee dominate for me. Tony bit of barrel character with a touch of vanilla and caramel.
Taste. Vanilla comes through a tough more but it just doesn't quite have the big chocolatey taste I expect. Very very very minimal pepper on the back end..
Mouthful. Pretty medium body. But not what you would expect from a BA stout.
Overall a solid beer and I would grab it again but I think blue jacket has some better offerings.

Draft at the source.
Dark brown, near black cola body with a sparse beige head of broken bubbles. Aromas of roast, chocolate, smoke, char. Oak and charred roast, dark chocolate. Medium body with little carbonation. Whiskey character is there in the flavor, but more subtle than is customary for the style. Tasty.

Pours black with a half finger mocha head. Aromas of light coffee, heavy on the oats, and hints of vanilla and caramel. The flavors mimics the aromatics quite well on top of some chilie. Thinking of this as a light Huna or Abraxas version. Medium mouthfeel. Overall a very nice beer and probably u favorite from Blue Jacket so far. Look forward to trying the Double BA version.

Heavy cinnamon and spice nose that carries through taste. A bit thin but really good.
