A: Pours a hazy copper gold, with minimal; 1 finger head, pleasant lacing
S: Strong notes of grass and lemon, there is something almost lactic in the nose but I can't place it though I don't like it
T: immediate grassy note followed by a subtle malt presence and a citric tartness, the main note here (the root note if you will) is the pleasant malt body, which is augmented by the citrus, the hops are present here in the more subtle grassiness and citrus, which are more flavorful than bitter
M: dry, but a tad milky which I don't particularly care for
O: This is a pleasant beer and I enjoy it but it is missing some extra something to make it a really good beer, I love what Greg Engert has done with NRG and I love the idea of blue jacket but what I've had so far has been a little underwhelming. I feel like this brewery needs to go and study the beers they love so much and perhaps focus on cultivating a smaller line of more excellent beers. That being said this is only year 3 for Bluejacket so there's time! Keep it up, I want something to write home about
