From a 6-pack picked up at Growlers on Main in Polson, MT; 65 ibu as indicated on the label
12oz can poured into a Samuel Smith imperial pint glass
P gold/orange w/ a slight haze; 1f foamy white head, quick recession; looks nice
N soft-med nose of sharp citrus (predominantly grapefruit)
T sharp citrus cut by an underlaying indiscernible mellow fruitiness; finishes w/ an assertive bitterness that coats the tongue; light bready/crackery malt body supports; restrained sweetness
Mf light-med bodied w/ soft-med carb; a bit watery
O meh- was hoping this one would be better; between the lack of cohesiveness in the profile and the lackluster mouthfeel, it just doesn't come together for me; would pass on it in the future

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Deep golden hue with one finger fluffy head. Aroma is orange peel and rye. Taste brings some sharp, biting bitterness, more citrus, rye tangy sourness. A real smack in the mouth.

12oz can. Smooth, bready, piney double IPA. Minor resiny bitter hop punch with a present but not overly-sweet caramel base. Minor notes of lemon and grapefruit as well.

Look: From 12 ounce can to snifter, hazy yellow with a half inch of thick white head. Decent retention and lacing.
Smell: Pineapple, grapefruit, floral patterns, pine. The aromas are nice but they don’t tie together like I’d expect.
Taste: I’m getting malt up front, which is absent in the aromas. Also hints of the tropical fruits and pine but they’re faint. I like the imperial approach but would have liked more of the flavors from the aromas in the taste.
Feel: Medium body, medium carbonation. Nothing special but not bad either.
Overall: Fell a bit short for me, especially as a big fan of DIPAs. Not bad by any means, but just okay to me.

Review #1412
I was working in Hailey two weeks ago, I had a chance to stop by the brewery. I pick-up several beers to try. This is less than a month old, I am hoping for a tasty result. The beer is 46 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour of the beer produced a one-fingered head. The white foam has fair retention. The head of the beer is creamy, leaving no lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 6, deep golden yellow with darker amber hues. This beer is not hazy. I was wanting a longer-lasting head on this beer. The appearance of the beer is average for this style.
The initial aromas in the beer are grapefruit, pine, and lightly toasted malts. Digging further, I smell floral, pineapple, lemons, a touch of herbal, and biscuit. This beer is not fragrant or has any pungent aromas. I was disappointed with the nose of this beer.
The flavors in the beer are malty sweetness, lemons, oranges, pineapple, grapefruit, resin, pine, biscuit, bread, a touch of herbal, dankness, and earthiness.
The mouthfeel of the beer is slick and somewhat astringent.
The body of the beer is medium-plus, low carbonation, and a medium-plus finish.
I am sorely disappointed with this beer. I read the beer has 100 IBU's. My only question is where. The beer has this oily slick finish that is distracting. A messy hop profile and an overbearing malt backbone created confusion for my palate. When I read double IPA, that is what I want, whether it is NEIPA or WCIPA. Sadly, I do not recommend this beer. I want the hop profile to stand out, not hide.
