Myopia Citrus Milkshake

a special version of their normal hazy ipa, done with blood orange, grapefruit, and lactose. its really sweet, but the fruit flavors are nice, and there is an almost melted ice cream vibe to it with the lactose, fairly highly dosed, but i like it, at least i like a small pour of it, not sure id want to put a few pints of it down, but its cool to see thee guys doing some experimentation. the blood orange is in front of the grapefruit here, but i kind of wish it werent, some of the grapefruit bitterness would really help this seem more balanced and less desserty, but its sweet orange to me with the milk sugar enhancing a sweet almost yellow cakey grain complexion, all a little too much for me. i think it also comes at the expense of the hops, compatible as they are here with these extras, they dont pop like they do in the normal myopia, which i definitely prefer to this variant overall. this does have a lot of flavor, the fruit appears natural, and the hops work with it, but its all a bit too sweet for me. still, i appreciate the effort and have really enjoyed the sawtooth beers i have had so far...
