Crowler from brewery. Very pale, white wine colored pour, flat. Light aroma of white grapes. Taste is more of the light fruit, very dry finish. Not too fond of this style.

one of the more modern recipes these guys are making right now, so many older styles happening here, and all of them well done, but its cool to have something a little more current like this, i think they did a great job with it too, it really demonstrates they are capable of just about anything in the brew house here. this is nice and clear and bright from the tap, with rapidly rising carbonation and a yellow radiance under a short but lasting white ring of foam. it smells a little bit herbal, a little vinous, and a lot hoppy, with strong citrus, pineapple, and white grape notes, almost delicate even though its quite pungent, as the malt is really minimal in here and there seems to be almost no hop bitterness either. the flavor is really good, summery and clean, bone dry like it should be in this style, with things like lemongrass, ripe pear, and sauvignon blanc coming from the hops in the center of this and lasting through the finish. cut flowers and white tea notes add some earthy bitterness, nice with the dry pils type malt behind it all, and overall the whole thing just explodes with flavor and with carbonation, they have the texture of this exactly right. a really solid beer here, one of the better hoppy ones i have had from these guys to date, and one i thirst for again. if they arent canning this one yet, they should start! one of my favorite local takes on the brut style so far...
