Draft at Craft Brewers Boise. Medium golden, clear, spotty head. Light aroma, malt and hops. Taste is where the Cashmere blossoms, earthy, herbal, floral, juniper. Subtle but full. Lingers on the palate.

i love the strata edition of this, and this cashmere one is equally compelling, such a hot new hop, i cant get enough of it right now, and have honestly liked or loved every beer i have had with it. this base pale ale is well suited to a robust single dry hopping, its off dry, light bodied, with enough pale malt to support hops, but not enough character or sweetness to cancel them out at all, the ferment is clean, and the beer is minimal, so the hop nuances are easily appreciated. here we have strong ripe tropical fruit notes, raw fleshy coconut, and even a kiwi fruit to it, almost like i want this to be some sort of rum drink! the nose and the taste are equally bright in terms of how much of the hops come out, and there is no green vegetal character, as hoppy as this is. there is an oily character to it that gives it a little more linger in the finish than the somewhat more abrupt feeling strata edition, but i love the leftovers here, and dont care how long it wants to hang out on my palate. there is an up front intensity too though, almost a cryo hop trajectory, with a little bitterness to finish, incredibly fresh as well. this is an awesome series of pale ales, i hope they keep it going!
