Appearance: Pours a light golden-hued body with a slight level of haziness to it. Inch of near-white foam. Slim lacing.

Smell: Lightly honeyed, biscuity minded maltiness with a little lemony hint from the hops.

Taste: Lightly biscuity backed with a taste of multi-grain crackers. Mild honey sweetness. Lightly herbal-toned hops that with the light lemon gives a little impression of tea. Thinning, light finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A sufficient, simple but satisfying golden.

A Microbrewed Club offering. Pours a gold color with a foamy white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of roasted malts. Taste is grains and malts. Slightly bitter finish but very enjoyable.

Can from Boise Co-op. Medium amber with a small tight, creamy head. Malty aroma, bread, caramel. Taste mirrors the aroma, with the addition of a small hoppy presence at the back end. Nice weight and feel.

Review #1417

This is another beer that I picked up from Sawtooth when I was in Hailey working. The beer is 42 degrees and served in a pint glass. The pour of the beer produced a two-finger white head. The foam of the beer left some lacing on the glass as it slowly dissipated. The color of the beer is SRM 4, pale gold with amber hues. This beer is not hazy.

The initial aromas in the beer are sweet malts, toasted biscuit, and a light floral ester. Nosing further, I smell bread crust, a touch of fruitiness, and a hint of honey.

The flavors in the beer are bread crust, floral esters, toasted biscuits, a touch of herbal, toasted malts, a hint of honey, and some earthiness.

The mouthfeel of the beer is crisp and carbonated.

The body of the beer is medium, medium carbonation, and light finish.

The beer is light-bodied and an easy-drinking ale. The flavors in the beer are light but refreshing. Nothing in the beer stands out or makes this beer exceptional. It is a simple beer, like most Idahoans.
