16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Golden with a small foamy head, light haze. Aroma is grassy, fruity, caramel. More sweet caramel in the taste, citrus, hoppy, resinous. Lots going on here

the first new beer i have seen or had from these guys in some time, a hazy double done for their 9th anniversary, a neat recipe and a very juicy and robustly hopped beer, probably doesnt need to be served in a pint glass, but here we are. its a little dense looking, pale yellow with an average white head on it, not that heavy for its strength. the aroma here is great, no bite or greenness at all, hints of mango and pineapple and muddled orange, really fresh and up front on the tongue when i taste it, oily as can be, weedy, candy-like on the hops too, maybe some coconut in there, even a whack of passion fruit, honey, and pine sap, its intense and sexy, modern, and without any real bitterness in the flavor at all. to me as it warms it takes on a touch of a dish soap thing, not chemical but almost a fake lemon vibe, some linger to it, and its not offensive, but it brings up flavor memories of bad beers that have this feature so it turns me off slightly. that said, this is very tasty overall and has a pretty unique hop taste about it, not too full bodied, and with awesome carbonation lightening this, surprised its as strong as it is. i like the boldness, and i think the name fits it, tastes like hops are squished indeed, juiced or something, pungent in a unique way. good to see something new from these guys, this stands out from their other hoppy stuff for sure.

Marketed as Sawtooth's 9th Anniversary beer, a double IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado. Poured into a nonic.

A: Medium gold/light amber with a big off-white head that laces well.

S: Strongly hoppy, bordering on vegetal with a solid dose of dank, green hops, as well as oily lemon peel, green grass, grapefruit pith. Fairly intense, but familiar.

T: More of that lemony & dank hop assault blended with a hefty malt base that leans crackery & grainy. Blueberry funk, grapefruit, grassy tartness, vegetal greenness, citrus peel, with solid hop bitterness.

MF: Fuller bodied, well-carbonated.

O: In the end I would say this comes together, though there are little pieces here and there that play tricks with my mind and make me think there may be some canning issues? There are a lot of unique flavors, but the beer is somewhat familiar overall, or has flavors and aromas that are familiar.
