really neat project but this beer is almost overly intense, to me it seems to have to be made with an oil or an extract rather than with cones and pellets, the early start on the hops, the degree of intensity on them, and the staying power this has all indicate that, but its not oversaturated as intense as it is, the flavors are fresh and good, and the alcohol is well hidden, this is a modern beast, a change of pace for these guys it seems, but quite a good beer if you like them on your palate all night. paler golden in color, more unfiltered looking than super starchy and hazy, high white head from the tap, and cool to have it at their taproom in sun valley. im not sure the varietals used in it, but its downright powerful, weedy and dank, honey and sticky resin, tea and cut flowers, pineapple puree and orange zest, summery but strong, slightly burning but in a good way, fresh as it gets, this definitely isnt for everyone, but its a cool ipa for sure, i burp it up for hours and taste it all over again each time. its well carbonated and on the dry side, without a lot of grain flavor, the hops just permeate my tongue and stay there. i almost find this refreshing on the one hand, but kind of kicking my butt on the other, its very well made and i think this stands out as one of their more memorable recent brews, even if its not for the meek...

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy orange pour, one finger creamy white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrusy, light dank, oranges. Citrus us up for ont in the taste, orange, tangerine, tangy, bracing. Pretty bitter, and it sticks to the palate for a while.

16oz can pours with mild to moderate juice-like haze and a fluffy white head. Citrusy and tropical fruit-forward with mild notes of pine and even some resin. Notes of orange and mango, pineapple and guava and grapefruit. No bitterness really, this brew is juicy and fruity and floral with a nice, sweet malt base. Overall I was impressed with this one, nice work Sawtooth.
