12oz can from Boise Co-op. Clear golden pour with an abundant white foamy head. Sweet grainy aroma, corn . Taste brings more of the oily corn flavors, grain, sweet, faint fruity notes towards the finish.

i already find their lost river lager to be quite light, so this seems a little redundant, but its well done, if lacking a little in overall character, at least its not cheap, metallic, or off tasting at all, but hops and yeast feel reduced to me, so that only the real pale malt is left to flavor the beer, perhaps subtle florals as it warms, but its clearly designed to be a pounder, and it certainly is. real blonde and nice and clear, well carbonated too even though its head is short lived from the tap. the nose is real subtle, a little crackery pils type grain, maybe faintly european, bready to me, but simple and clean in a good way, some light minerality as well, but overall real minimal. the flavor follows, hardly anything at all from the lager yeast and just the monotone grain, but i am surprised on the swallow to find just a little bit of hop bitterness there to crisp it up but perhaps a little assertive for the style, i dont mind at all! it gives a nice snap and pep to the back end of this, and as long as i drink it cold and quick, this is pretty appealing. good carbonation despite the lack of head, refreshing beer and not totally devoid of personality. i think i like their lost river quite a bit better, but this isnt radically different overall. good for those looking for a nice crisp beer flavored beer, nice with a heaping bowl of their tater tots!
