A rich, creamy stout that goes down smooth with a lingering sweetness. Great aroma and flavor reminiscent of coffee and chocolate.
Ingredients: Maris Otter Pale Malt, Kiln Coffee Malt, Chocolate Malt, Crystal 60, Black Barley, Flaked Barley
East Kent Goldings Hops, House Ale Yeast
Variations: First Chair Coffee Stout, Chair to Nowhere Imperial Stout, Challenger Chair Chocolate Stout, Gondola Chocolate Milk Stout, usually on Nitro

Black-ish pour with small skin of head, roasty aroma, burnt toast. Taste adds some chocolate, mild bitterness. Relatively smooth. Right in the middle for the style.

Had this on nitro from a growler. Liked the vibe in the tap room, but the beer is missing some serious body. Just lacks any depth or complexity. I want to like this brewery but they need to work on this beer.

My wife and I enjoyed an afternoon pint each of the Last Chair Stout. I am pretty picky on the taste of beers. This one went down smooth and had a great taste.
The service at Sawtooth Brewery was above and beyond what I hoped for. Kevin let us samples 4 beers before we both decided on the Stout.
Glad more places in Boise are starting to carry your beers.

Appearance: Dark brown in color but not totally opaque. It poured with a thin light brown head with a decent amount of retention and good lace.
Smell: An overwhelming smell of bad dark roasted coffee to the point of smelling like a spent coffee filter/ashtray. Nothing else really came through.
Taste: Tastes like thin church coffee (aka watered down Folgers) and a little bit like tasting the smell of roasted barley. Next to no complexity whatsoever. Tastes like it was made from the spent grains of an actual stout.
Mouthfeel: Thin body with a carbonation bite in the back top of the mouth.
Overall: I was not impressed with this beer in the least. I suggest that Sawtooth try, try again.

On Nitro at Bier Thirty .... Pours black with a nice reverse head... Dark tan... brown stained head has great lacing and retention.
The nose is very nice.... tons of coffee beans and dry dark malts.. very dry but just enough malt essence to bring the dark to the light.
Flavor is surprising light... Good dark malt and some dry beans.. a decent dry stout with plenty of cold brewed coffee.
The wife says, "I could drink this for breakfast." Truly a compliment if you ever meet Brenda.
Seems a bit thin on the body... Nitro Tap hides any real mouthfeel flaws...
Still... This is very well done.. I would certainly buy again... an easy drinking dark brew, and I don't buy many stouts/porters any more.
