Served in a tulip at the brewery, a pitch black color with a frothy brownish head the settles slowly. Aroma is of bitter, dark chocolate, charred grains, spicy rye and a molasses sweetness. Taste is robust, layered malt with dark chocolate and burnt sugar notes and a spicy and bitter rye kick that matches the chocolate and deep layered malt profile. Medium to full body with some crisp carbonation, this beer has a finish that leans toward the bitter. Very drinkable stout and another tasty beer from Neshaminy!
