This 6.3% Black IPA is brewed with 2-Row Barley and Midnight Wheat and is dry hopped with Citra, El Dorado, and Equinox. It’s dank and resinous with notes of grapefruit, stone fruit, and tropical mango inversely paired with a demon-like black hue with garnet highlights.

10/19/16...pours pitch black, low head of tannish foam. Chocolate malty nose, earthy, some pine/coffee notes. Oily pine bitter that pokes through with force. Persistent long lasting bitter. Maybe a tad too pushy.

Poured into a pint glass. Nearly opaque dark drown with a thick light tan head. The foam demonstrated great staying power and left some nice tracks. Bright aromas with pine, lemon, tangerine, orange, and a hint of brown bread. Sharply bitter on the first sip, but not harsh. There was a slight roasty note at the beginning, quickly giving way to grapefruit pith, lemon, and pine needles. A nice creamy mouthfeel, and medium-bodied.

16oz can into European pint glass.
LOOK: First impression...THIS is what I call a black IPA. Light doesn't even pass through it.
SMELL: A fair share of hops and a smooth smack of pine.
TASTE: Starts hoppy, not exceptionally carbonated, and ends on a smokey fire note. Delicious and blends well.
FEEL: I can't quite make out whether I enjoy the lower amount of fizz than usual.
Overall: a delicious brew.
