Shows as an unholy, vibrant-yet-murky purpley orangey color with a very thin off-white crown in a boss pour at the pub.
Red wine and dull earthy hops in the nose. Crazy unusual taste of vanilla, creamy old-fashioned chewy candies, red wine, candied peach rings, rotten berries, some sourness and tartness, wet newspaper. This is a tripel?
Medium bodied with a creamy feel that has just a little prickliness.
In fairness to NCBC, I didn't notice that this was conditioned on peaches and raspberries, only that it was aged in a Cabernet barrel. I guess it's as advertised, but way too fruity to my taste.

22 oz waxed bottle poured into a goblet.
Appearance
Bright ruby red. Lightly hazy. Moderate carbonation.
Nose
Pinot noir, red grape, oak, raspberry, and lemon juice.
Taste
Raspberry and blackberry jam. Fresh peaches. Red grape and Pinot Noir. Medium tartness with some lemony lactic acid and slight white wine vinegar. Firm caramel backing along with some white oak for balance.
Mouthfeel
Medium-light bodied, crisp, tart, and refreshing.
Overall
I didn't expect anything sour but this was pleasantly so. Very raspberry and peach forward with strong notes of Pinot Noir.
