Pours dark brown but not opaque with a nice creamy head which slowly subsides. Huge aroma and flavor of coffee, slightly bitter, with sweet undertones of milk chocolate.

On tap at Applebee’s in Dover. Pours a jet black ebony hue with maximum frothing. Assertive aroma replete with hints of cocoa and chocolate. Similar overall flavor profile.

Look- very dark brown liquid with a tan head and spotty lacing
Smell- predominantly strong espresso with a little chocolate and vanilla-like sweetness
Taste- not as sweet as the nose would indicate. Getting strong coffee and semi-sweet chocolate but that quickly gives way to a pleasant roasty bitterness. Very nicely balanced
Feel- medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation; lingering sweetness and bitterness in the finish
Overall- outstanding coffee porter that's nicely balanced between sweetness and bitterness

The beer menu says tastes like cocoa and roasted malts. This pour (on tap Funck's Leola) is pure mocha tasting. Not a bad thing, in fact exactly what I was looking for. Now if they could amp up the cocoa, I'd declare it perfect. Smell is pure coffee. Color is practically black. Would certainly order again.
