A thanks to the amazing woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, some citrus. Taste has notes of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, a bit juicy. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.

As the Christmas/Holiday Break approaches and having recently attended the Punk Rock Flea Market at Neshaminy Creek BC, I feel CANpelled to delve into one of their beers for The CANQuest (tm) today.

From the CAN: "Sometimes you've got to destroy something you truly love to appreciate how much you loved it in the first place. This hazy New England[-]style India Pale Ale is double dry hopped with a four hop glass of sunshine that is the culmination of years of dedicated brewing stripped away of any and all self. At the end of the day, the liquid is always more important than an ethos that created it, and sometimes recognizing that is just another step in owning your craft."; "Unfiltered India Pale Ale".

I love reading that a beer is "unfiltered" as I take it as a challenge. Even more so as I Crack!ed open the vent to reveal CANother brimful craft CAN! I then beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass whereupon it foamed up nicely to form two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, eggshell-white head with decent retention, leaving nice lacing in its wake. Color was an oh-so-faintly-hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose smelled like a pleasant mixture of tropical fruit, pine and citrus fruit hops. Mmm. I have had my fill of tropical fruit on its own, but when blended with other modern hops, it CAN be quite pleasant. Let's see how this plays out. Mouthfeel was medium, but slick on the tongue. The taste was evocative of the blueberry waffle that I had for breakfast! How waffle! Not at all! This was quite pleasant, blossoming with a load of fruity flavors, ranging from blueberry and peach to tropical guava and passionfruit, as well as a lightly dank pine. No citrus, though, belying the nose. Finish was dry & here I got a little bit of grapefruit, especially following the swallow. Yum! YMMV.

16 oz can poured into a tulip pint.

Appearance
Hazed-out golden blonde. Short white head dissipates quickly.

Nose
Tangerine, passion fruit, peach, dank, pine, blueberry, and candy sugar.

Taste
Orange cream, tangerine, passion fruit, and peach. Dry dank and pine needle. Blueberry honey and candy sugar sweetness. Finishes with grapefruit and orange zest.

Mouthfeel
Medium-plus bodied, smooth, silky, creamy, and juicy with only a touch of bitterness.

Overall
Tropical, citrusy, and dank. Smooth and creamy. Does anybody actually read beer reviews? I'm trying to hit 2,000 beer reviews and then I'm retiring.
