Pours a brownish color with a half-finger of head. The nose is grassy and floral. The malt bill is fairly light for the style. There's only a hint of roast to compliment the hop bitterness.
I'm not so sure what's so "experimental" about this offering. It's a modest abv Black Ale.

12 ounce can poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
L---Darkest brown color. Fluffy, light brown head. Good retention and excellent lacing.
S---Vaguely malty. Not that much going on.
T---Vague malts, but at least stronger than the nose.
F---Medium bodied. Actually smooth/velvety.
O---It says right on the can that this is an experiment. Well, at least they tried.

A - Dark burgundy color with thin, dense toffee colored lacing and light carbonation.
S - Earthy malt aroma with some citrus.
T - Earthy malt up front followed with some citrus mixed in for good measure and ends with an agressive piney bite that builds momentum.
M - Medium body.
O - A "unique" beer. The best part is the bold bitterness.
