Poured into grip shaped goblet: color is straw, very slight chill haze, head is brighter white with mixed frothy head and presents at least 1 finger thick dissipating to nearly solid top with spotty lacing.
Smell is blended sour and malt sweetness - notes notes of berry, grain, earthy hops.
Taste is more light sour and lactic notes, light malt notes, but then overtaken by the soured notes, light lactic notes.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweet sourness, low/no bitterness.
Overall - excellent sour that allows the malt and souring effects to shine.

Notes via stream of consciousness: So this is an actual straight out Berliner Weisse? No added fruit or lactose? Nothing stupid like children's breakfast cereal included? Wow! I'm loving it. It's poured a lightly hazy golden body beneath a short head of bright white foam that drops steadily but maintains a wide collar and shispy surface covering. The nose is wuite unique. The label mentions yeast harvested from Burgundy grapes so maybe I'm being swayed a little bit but it smells like gooseberries to me. Perhaps they've used some New Zealand hops here? It's lightly mineralish, fruity like dried apricot, and subtly floral. Very nice! On to the taste... it tastes very much like it smells. There's some additional apple, peach, and both white and red grape as well. It's tart but not puckering, and not at all that bitter. Of course, as I always say, there's no need for bitterness because the acidity is enough to dry it in the finish, leaving it to linger with soft fruit and dried flowers. It's light bodied and delicately zesty in the mouth with acidity and a moderate, fine-bubbled carbonation. I'm pretty impressed with this one.
