Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co. "Bendy Weisse"
12 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$21.59/12-pack variety case @ Javies Beverage, Phila., PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: Bendy Weisse is dry-hopped with Simcoe and Citra. It's poured a cloudy golden-orange beneath a short head of white foam. The aroma delivers yeasty clove, wheaty malt, and a light touch of citrusy hops. The flavor adds in some yeasty spiciness, a touch of acidity, lemon/lime, green banana, passionfruit, and pine. A moderate bitterness of around 22 IBUs is all that's needed to balance it and bring it to a dry, spicy, and citrusy conclusion. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and crisp. Unfortunately the head didn't hold up as well as it could have but it did leave some nice lacing about the glass. This is decent enough but I can definitely say that it's not their best weizen.
