Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is light straw, clear, white head presents less than one finger thick, then dissipates to thin frothy top, some lacing.

Smell is neutral malt with light sweetness, crisp and earthy hops.

Taste is more neutral malt and crisp hops: clean malt with similar simple rice based sweetness, earth and light herbal hops.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.

Overall a quality rice lager with a crisp feel, light sweetness and backing bitterness.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some malts. Taste is also mild, malts, rice, finishes dry. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a mediocre beer.

12-ounce can poured into a 6-ounce stange

Look - pale yellow, detergent white head, moderate carbonation, lots of lacing for a light lager

Smell - very mild pleasant beer smell, nothing unusual

Taste - crisp and dry, refreshing, pronounced hops aftertaste

Feel - very light, delicate

Overall - I am not a fan of lagers, but this one is outstanding. It would go great with any spicy food, and, of course, with sushi or other Japanese foods.
