The Overlook IPA is a brand new wintry Dry-Hopped India Pale Ale brewed that starts with a base of Maris Otter, Red Rye, and Crystal Malts that lay the foundation of an amber beer with a lightly toasted caramel malt backbone with hints of toffee. Apollo, Fuggles, East Kent Goldings, Challenger, and Lotus hops bring an abundantly floral aroma to The Overlook with rustic earthy notes, bright citrus zest, and a dry bitterness to finish.

Poured into narrow imperial pint glass: color is amber, not clear, head is off white to light an with an amber edge, head bubbles are small to medium and present with 1+ finger depth, head remains solid with lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is toast and caramel, light earth and rye note, biscuit, herbal and earthy hops but malt carries this one.
Taste is toast, caramel, earth, rye, herbal/earth/grass and light pine hops - malt forward but solid hop backing this is a stand out IPA in the haze of today.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.
Overall a malt forward rye/amber IPA that I wish we saw more in the current brewing standard.

on draft, at the Harleysville taproom. In pint glass
appears a cloudy dark rust color, with thick cream colored head. Nice balance of malt and bitter hop finish. Hop aroma is mainly earthy, with some candied orange in there. medium bodied.
